Who Makes The Best Tents For Camping

If there’s one thing that you don’t want to skimp on when it comes to camping, it’s the tent.

Your tent will keep you dry and warm in case of any poor weather, and keep you protected throughout the night. But which brands are the best for tents?

Rei offers a great variety of camping tents that are reliable and well-built. They’re also easy to put up and pack away at the end of your camping trip, and Rei offers a large selection of sizes for tents.

No matter how many people are joining you, Rei has an option for you.

Coleman is another reliable brand of camping equipment, with one of their main selling points being how quickly you can erect their tents.

They test all of their tents in terms of wind and rain, giving you peace of mind that there will be no nasty surprises once you’re at the site.

Another popular choice is Decathlon, with affordable prices and high-quality products. Their tents have been known to win awards such as Gear of the Year 2021 and the Outdoor Retailer Innovation Award.

Are expensive tents worth it?

No, it’s often not worth purchasing the most expensive tent on the market.

As long as the tent you opt for is still made with high-quality materials and can withstand some wind and rain, it doesn’t matter if the price is in the middle of the range.

However, if you’re planning on using your tent for prolonged periods at a time, or are heading somewhere known for its terrible weather.

Backpackers might want to invest in a top-of-the-line tent to ensure that it lasts throughout their entire expedition. Similarly, campers heading into bad weather will need a tent specifically designed for the conditions.

If you’re just going on a simple camping trip, you don’t need to worry about the price of your tent too much.

As long as it’s not the cheapest on the market, made of paper-thin materials with terrible reviews, then you should be fine.

Expensive tents tend to be larger, have more rooms either for additional sleepers or extra living room. Less expensive tents won’t come with these, but many campers don’t believe that they need this.

Campers who are bringing little children, or who think that they’re going to be spending a substantial amount of time on their trip in their tent, might prefer a more expensive tent due to the extra room.

However, if you’re using the tent to sleep and not much else, is this extra space really worth the additional cost?

What is the best brand for camping tents?

We have already mentioned that we like Rei, Decathlon, and Coleman for camping tents.

These are all reputable brands that are working hard to provide the best tents on the market. We would feel safe in any of these brands’ tents while camping in the middle of nowhere.

Other great brands of camping tents include ALPS, The North Face, and Marmot. These brands are slightly better well known by many people and therefore tend to be reached for more.

Overall, we would have to give our first place position to Coleman due to the quality of their tents in comparison to the price.

Coleman is a great brand that offers amazing camping tents for half the price of the better-known brands that we have mentioned above.

What is the best cheap tent?

Camping on a budget might be slightly more difficult than spending more on your tent, but some people like the idea of camping solely for its inexpensive qualities.

Due to this, they won’t want to be spending more money on the tent than the rest of their entire holiday.

The good news is that you can get tents on the market with prices as low as $25. However, these might not be the best quality, with thin material used and poor stitching prone to leaks and poor insulation.

For this reason, we’ve skipped past the cheapest tents and gone for a slightly more expensive option. If you’re feeling risky; however, feel free to pick up the cheapest tent and see what happens!

The best cheap tent that we found was from a brand named Ezone, which is a pop-up tent capable of housing three or four people.

Pop-up tents are great for backpackers who don’t want to spend too much of their expedition setting up their tent.

The fiberglass pole is incredibly lightweight, making the entire tent easy to carry for long periods of time. The tent itself is made from 190T waterproof polyester, keeping you dry and warm in poorer weather conditions.

What is the best tent for a family of 4?

The Coleman Cabin Tent has to be one of our favorites for families of four. It’s incredibly weather-friendly with welded corners and tapered seams to stop water from getting in.

The extra layer of protection coming from the rainfly gives you even better peace of mind that you and your family can remain protected throughout the night.

The material is also double the thickness of some other four-people tents on the market, making it more durable and able to withstand harsh weather conditions season after season.

Don’t worry though, the airflow is unmatched and won’t leave you and your family suffering through the dreaded humidity that is created by some tents.

When on holiday, you don’t want to be wasting time trying to put up a tent. For this reason, we love the fact that the Coleman Cabin Tent can be put up as quickly as within one minute.

Coleman also offers a one-year warranty to give you peace of mind that your purchase is protected should you find anything wrong with the tent.

With 8 x 7 feet of space, you’ll have plenty of room for your family of four. The height is also spacious at 4 foot 11 inches.

You might not have enough room to stand up completely inside the tent, but the price you’re saving on this tent might make up for it.
